How does the scoring actually work? +
Our matching engine scores every registered farmer against each buyer REQ on four dimensions: Price (40 pts), Quality grade (30 pts), Proximity to delivery point (20 pts), and Track record (10 pts). The top three are surfaced to the buyer. The scoring weights are public and fixed — no platform discretion, no favourites.
What does Gramam charge? Who pays? +
Buyers pay a service fee of 8–10% of the transaction value, bundled into the total amount they fund into escrow. Farmers pay zero — no listing fee, no registration fee, no commission on any transaction. This is a design principle, not a promotional offer.
What if no farmer matches my REQ? +
If fewer than three verified farmers match your specification, we notify you within 24 hours and offer two options: relax one parameter (weight range, timing, or delivery radius) and we re-run the match, or we connect you directly with our field team who may know off-platform registered stock. No match, no charge.
